OOC: This JP thread for JPing the arrival of those Horizon people sharing a shuttlecraft to this year's tournament. So far, that's Bettina and I, though I hear rumors of Jess coming along. This JP is mid-flight to arriving at the Starbase, Kayvin can pilot, cuz she knows how. If you're going, just intergrate yourself into this JP, and we'll fix up your registration for you.
This tourney takes place almost a full YEAR after the Horizon's current spot in time. Both Jackie and Bettina's kids are born by this point and all.
EDIT: There you are on the roster QaDghab, sowry, I see you now.
OOC: Qadghab is coming to silly :P
Provided we ever leave to get there... early arrivals already started.

Don't have to be early arrivals. real thing starts Feb 1.
And hold up, might be getting two more passengers from the 'rizon ;) unless they're gettin' their own ride.
Trying to get Veska and Janzie (all be it belatedly) into things. Sent you a PM if Jess didn't already snag you.

Let's just get the post made, I know Veska is registered now and all. As is Janzie.
ON:
The Type-9 shuttle lurched as it dropped out of warp, scattering PADDs and knocking over bags.
"Sorry!" Kayvin called back, as she activated the deceleration thrusters, providing them with another jolt. "This class of shuttle didn't exist when I learned to fly."

QaDghab laughed, "Would you like me to take over?" He called back to her. Of course anyone who had been aboard when he came aboard the Horizon the first time a few years before would automatically say no.

"I think I got it now," she replied, "... more or less. Starbase is coming into visual range." She tapped a key placing lowering the HUD map, allowing the starbase to come into view, along with the swarm of ships revolving around it.
Tags someone else, lets get everyne in here.

"Thank whatever gods might exist out there," Janzie moaned from the back, rubbing her forehead from where it had collided with a bulkhead. "I think any one in here," she paused to clarify, " except QaDghab, if the look on his face is any indication, could have done better on that particular maneuver."
"Don't look at me," Veska quipped. "I let others do the flying. I'd manage to fly worse than a minor bump dropping out of warp somehow." At least this year she was able to attend. Last year, unfortunate circumstances had made her late, but at least she hadn't been tossed out an airlock as had been threatened at the time. She hoped to catch up with her former crew while she was here this year.

"Seems like none of us are very good at flying," Bettina chuckled, adjusting the sling where little Bryan was sleeping peacefully, oblivious to the excitement around them. She had briefly considered leaving the child with his father, then quickly relented, unable to bear the thought of being away from him, even if for a few days. "I just hope nothing goes wrong that requires a real pilot!" She laughed.

Kayvin looked hurt, "I'll have you know I flew starships in the Dominion war." Mind you, that was Tavis Jal, who generally seemed to be more together than her at any given time, but still. She could do this. She hoped she could do this. Heck, landings are hard.
"Starbase 72, this is the shuttlecraft Revenge, requesting permission to dock," Kayvin signalled. Gee, wonder who named this ship. She could think of a particular Caitian that might be responsible.
OFF
I'm gonna post this so we get docking response, people can feel free to respond to it after that, over there.
