[Horizon – Sickbay:]
QaDghab nodded silently and watched as the Quartermaster took his measurements and went to get the proper fitting cloths. QaDghab turned o eating again trying to finish up the food, though his stomach was cramping and he eventually ended up throwing it back up in the floor next to him, his skin greyish as he looked to them in appology. “Thank you,” Veska replied, giving the ensign that was in front of her desk the cue that he was dismissed. He had just come from the mess hall and informed the acting CMO that Q had wandered in there, still in his sickbay attire. Veska let out a sigh. She was both embarrassed and relieved at the same time… both personally and professionally. With out an assigned CMO, all the patients in sickbay were ultimately her responsibility and regardless of if it was actually a staff member that had been negligent in their duties to keep an eye on him, it ultimately fell to her as to why someone that shouldn’t have been out wandering the halls, much less wandering around in what he was or wasn’t wearing. She expected to hear from the Admiral about this before too long. On the upside, he was, for the most part, physically ok, not passed out, unconscious in a little used corridor or something. Personally, she was embarrassed they shared a species. While Veska had not been brought up with full knowledge of what it meant to be Klingon, everyone knew that Klingons were a very proud, independent race. For any Qo’nos Klingon, what was taking place right now, would be unthinkable. Most would rather be dead. That Q was wandering around, seemingly fully aware of what he was doing… all except the embarrassing anyone else who was Klingon or part Klingon on the ship… was awkward at best. Rationally or not, Veska could feel the snickers being cast her direction whenever Q came up in conversations around her or after she walked by. That he had been on the ship prior to his drunken discovery this time around…and had behaved similarly if not worse…didn’t help any. Her human side just felt sorry for him. She wanted to help him, return him to good health so that he could function normally and not embarrass himself or anyone else he befriended. How she would do that, she wasn’t sure yet…though she had been in discussions all afternoon with engineering and the few biomechanical specialists she had contact with. They would find a way, if they could keep him still and healthy enough to do it. Veska rose from her desk and exited the small cubby of an office that was within Sickbay. Grabbing a medical kit, she headed off in the direction of the mess hall. QaDghab groaned as he looked up to see the Doctor. He tried to hide his discomfort but the paleness of his skin made it difficult to hide. He looked to bettina and cash and tried to stand but was shakey. "They come too?" His mouth formed as he steadied himself on Cash's shoulder. His blind side of his face twitched. tag |

"Of course we'll come." Smiling, Bettina reached to take his hand and give it a light squeeze. "Anything we can do to help get you back to yourself." She stood on her toes to kiss the big Klingon on the cheek, then nodded to Bryan. "You ready? Just in case he falls, I mean." TAGS

"You ready? Just in case he falls, I mean." Bryan smiled and let the klingon support more of his weight on his shoulder. "Yup ready as i'll ever be." They all started slowly forward and out into the corridor. Luckily it was after shift change and the corridors stood mostly empty. The ship was due at the recreation planet at anytime and bryan was pleased to have some time with bettina. "Boy it sure will be nice to take this uniform off and have a little time to relax." Huffing a little under the old klingons weight bryan chuckled. "Feels like we've been doing the same thing over and over and over lately." As they stepped into the turbolift bryan called out for the deck sickbay was on. |

Looking past QaDghab, Bettina smiled at Bryan. "Tell you what? Once we see him safely to Sickbay, how about I help you get out of that uniform, then we can do something we both like to do over and over?" She winced as the baby kicked, but she didn't mind, and they could certainly still have fun in different ways. "I think I can help you relax pretty quickly!" TAGS

[[Horizon - Mess hall/Turbolift:]]
"Feels like we've been doing the same thing over and over and over lately." Bryan’s words echoed in Veska’s mind as she took up residence under the elder Klingon’s other arm. Her neglect to keep a closer eye on QaDghab, allowing him to escape sickbay before he was fit to do so, and…somehow not heal him fast enough was to blame for them again taking QaDghab to sickbay…again. Veska managed to keep her scoff to herself…as she now found this whole scenario a bit ironic given they were both Klingon yet on a Federation starship where healing was greatly accelerated compared to their Klingon counter part… At the flirting occurring between the couple, Veska found her heart ache a little. Who was she to complain about watching after QaDghab, a patient, and therefore her responsibility…her JOB. Especially, when her own mate, Kal’Dar required frequent and or closely monitored medical attention when he was off Boreth. The lift took little time in depositing the foursome on the proper deck. “I will make sure to keep him in sickbay long enough to get him back on track towards healing properly this time,” she assured Bettina, “but not too long that he is clawing at the walls to get away from me again,” she added in an attempt to reassure QaDghab he wouldn’t be a resident of sickbay too much longer. “I already have the bioengineering specialists working on a way to restore his ability to speak. But it might take them a few days to devise a way that is both practical, functional, and minimally intrusive.” That he was willing to have such a devise was somewhat unusual from what Veska understood about her people. But as long and as often as he had served aboard such ships as he was now, she supposed she shouldn’t be too surprised. “I will be sure to keep you informed as to the progress they make. As you do have a close relationship with him,” Veska paused to glance over and up at QaDghab, “I’d assume you would help him digest his options.” Veska paused as she let the others respond as they made their way down the corridor towards sickbay. <tags> |

[[Horizon - Turbolift/Corridor]]
"Excellent doctor I'm sure our friend here will appreciate that. Winking at bettina he mouthed "later" to her. The need and usefulness to speak is an important one." As they walked down the corridor bryan could tell that QaDghab was thinking about something as he listened. The old klingon was such a mystery and bryan often wondered if they all truly knew his entire story. They rounded a corner and the door to sickbay came into view. With a sideways step they got QaDghab into sickbay and sitting on a biobed. "Well now that wasn't so difficult was it?" he was about to speak again when a call came in. =/\=Captain Cash to the bridge please.=/\= Cash sighed and approached his wife. "I'll see you in a short bit. Duty calls" He kissed her on the cheek and headed out the door. [Bridge USS Horizon] Cash exited the lift and the image of a planet slowly rotated on the screen. "Forstus II i presume?" Cash said as he exited and approached the command deck. Admiral Harmon looked up at him and nodded his head. "That it is captain. Quite a bit different since you we're here all those years ago. Seems an entire planet down there is now home to a massive pleasure world. Everything from holosuites to white water rafting and camping." Cash sat and smiled. "Excellent i assume we'll go with rotating shore leave schedule i outlined?" Harmon nodded again. "Feel free to make the announcement captain." He said with a smile. He knew the crew needed this time. =/\=To all hands this is Captain Cash. We've arrived at our destination of Forstus II. We'll be letting you all down for one week leave on a rotating schedule. Starting when we enter orbit. You all earned this so please enjoy. Cash out. =/\= Sitting back he glanced at the admiral. "I hope your planning to take leave as well sir." He said with an eyebrow raised. "Oh don't worry about me Captain. I'm quite sure everyone on the ship is going to take leave least they have to deal with you." He grinned and chuckled a little. OFF:Welcome to Forstus II everything you can imagine is here. A massive new holosuite complex just opening up. amusement parks sun beaches camping everything one would want in a vacation destination. Oh......and a few suprises to.

QaDghab sat on the bed, his mind seeming to go over things, though in truth he was trying to distract himself from the thought of him being in medical bay. His stomach cramped again and he found himself bending forward as his stomach emptied and he straightened again in a cold sweat.
"Why am I sick?" His mouth formed silently. tags |

[[Horizon - Sickbay:]]
Veska looked at the elder Klingon and wondered the same thing. She looked again at the tricorder in her hands and then looked at Bettina before looking back at him. “Outside of the obvious facts that you should be a little tired yet from the surgery you had earlier, and that your voice is severely compromised, there is no logical reason for you to be experiencing the symptoms you have been witnessed and self described to be having. Your vitals are well with in the parameters they should be for a Klingon your age.” She looked down at the tricorder yet again and shrugged before closing it and setting it aside. “One would think that you just like being in sickbay and getting attention from beautiful, strong…female…medical personnel and therefore make yourself ill,” she teased, tossing a wink at Bettina. “I mean why else would you leave sickbay in one of these attractive and roomy gowns, and loose a perfectly good lunch all over the mess hall and sickbay floors?” A throat being cleared behind her drew her attention. A man stood there with what appeared to be a pile of clothing. She directed him to set it on the edge of the biobed that QaDghab was sitting on. He quickly did so and left again. The privacy of the conversation restored, Veska continued. “Now, if I was anyone else, I would say this was a matter for the ship’s counselor. However, being Klingon, a counselor is probably even lower on your ‘want to be seen by’ list as Qel’s and besides, I happen to know that our dear counselor is a bit occupied at the moment. Now, as the announcement informed us, I believe we happened to be at what the counselor would likely recommend in this case anyhow: a nice either relaxing or distracting, leave.” “So, I would change into these clothes, let Bettina enjoy some uninterrupted time with her spouse, and take some time to think about and do something other than being ill…because you’re not sick,” Veska recommended. |
